Oh yeah! It always sounds dumb and pretentious when I say it, but I say it anyway: music is a form of time travel. Stockhausen hasn't said too many smart things, but the whole idea of bending time with music (through repetition and change etc) was one of his smartest. I'm supposed to be working, so maybe I'll come back to this soon... [but if you really want the full on loony-Teuton version, go see K.
